Once your participants are set, you can place fields on the document to indicate where to sign, initial, or give other information. Clicking on each participant will drop down a list of field options:
You'll see there are field types for the participant to sign or initial. You also have options to automatically add the date signed ("Date"), get any text input ("Text Field"), allow the signer to check a box ("Checkbox") or automatically enter the user's full name ("Full Name").
After you place the fields, some will have a popup so you can select whether the field is optional or required:
